Gwen is a member of both the Ontario and British Columbia bars. Gwen's practice has, since 1989, been concentrated in the taxation area and she continues to practice in that area, focusing on estate planning and business succession planning, in all cases including cross border matters. Gwen has a particular interest in the area of charity law - including charitable giving and acts for both charities and donors.
Gwen has lectured on various income tax topics, including tax planned charitable giving through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and other special interest groups. Gwen is a co-author of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' Tax Practice Manual, the Personal Tax Planner Guide, The Family Trust Guide and Tax Planning Using Family Trusts.
Gwen is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Canadian Bar Association of Ontario, Tax Law, Estates and Trusts and Charity and Non-Profit Subsections.
