Boris’
practice covers a broad range of corporate and commercial
transactions with an emphasis on debt financing, asset-based
lending, project and acquisition financing and asset/equipment
financing and leasing. Such transactions are handled by
Boris on behalf of a number of financial institutions, asset-based
lenders and corporate borrowers. Boris has also developed
a network of contacts which allows him to actively pursue
international infrastructure projects on behalf of
his clients. In addition, he acts as corporate counsel
to a number of information technology and manufacturing
businesses.
Boris was previously a partner in the Financial
Services Group of a prominent Bay Street law firm where
he started his career as an articling student in 1997.
He is an active participant in the annual
Tour for Kids cycling event which raises funds
for three extraordinary camp organizations that are devoted
to enhancing the quality of life for children living with,
through and beyond cancer and has been recognized for his
fundraising efforts. He is also currently on the board
of directors of the Loretta Legacy Foundation, a non-profit
organization dedicated to raising awareness of Mesothelioma
and other forms of lung cancer not related to smoking as
well as funds for medical research in these areas.
